Any Optimism about US-Taliban Dialogues?

Any Optimism about US-Taliban Dialogues?

It’s surprising to know Taliban has set operations for its office in Doha, Qatar akin to Afghan embassy. Seems like, Taliban are official now, allowed to operate without any disguise or fear of invasion. Afghanistan is still seeking an answer from Taliban for this “act” along with an assurance that the office would only be a place to hold talks rather than any other portentous activity. On the other hand, the US is calling for India’s concern over Afghanistan, especially because of the later’s concern over the state of affairs and the future possibility of terrorism originating from Afghan soils once the US troops leave.

So much for the kick start of the peace talks! Do you thing, any negotiations and more importantly resolutions, even remotely are a possibility from the US- Taliban “peace talks”?

Let me remind the fate of “Algiers’ Accord” signed by the US with Iran to free its hostages, to know the worth of an agreement between American Government and any of the underdog governments of the world.
