National Interest or Personal Interest?

The revision of petroleum prices on the instructions of Prime Minister of Pakistan came as a welcome message for those who enjoy power corridors and need something to laminate the bad governance and plunders which they have done since they came into power.

Isn’t it an irony that we the people have been looted in the name of national interest and in the name of building up a strong nation? Very clichéd words they seem to be, National Interest and Building up Pakistan- something we’ve been listening to ever since my childhood. The rulers have always punched, chocked and ruined us in the name of these nice- sounding slogans. Funny things, they’re only words as yet. Since we are a great nation with loads of love for the country and also lot of patience for oh-so called Democratic politicians and rulers of all times, we still trying to survive and especially trying to believe all the above ‘scrap’ to be true.

It does not bother us when we are forced to make queues be it to pay bills with our money or buy commodities, or even for petrol or CNG. On the contrary people in the power corridors have their own privileges in every matter of life and in every situation they face. For them there is no problem anywhere. Now the question is why this dual standard. We not only pay for our living but also bear the burden of these ruler and their families. As a result, masses are growing poorer everyday while the wealth of these politicians increasing phenomenally. Not only theirs but of their relatives and associated.

This rape rather let me say gang rape of our country has brought never-ending pain and suffering for public and poor masses every day. At times it came as price hike, other times in the name of ramping up utility bills, and when nothing we were deprived of the electricity, gas, and even water. On the ‘brighter end of things’, our rulers are using chartered jets for their travel, indulged in shopping sprees form Europe and America, buy expensive automobiles and have houses in acres with full luxury and style. ?

We all have heard the long used and often abused statements, “Democracy is the system of governance for the people, by the people.” Though I am still confused who those people are and what the national interest actually I thought and discussed my question and now I am very happy today when I came to understand the exact definition of National interest and our nation as said by the rulers.

Therefore, my fellow countrymen hold your hearts and for this big secret, which is being made public that, what is the definition of National Interest. Actually when our rulers say Qaumi Mufad it means the Mufad or interest of their family members and them. Therefore my poor countrymen can relax and enjoy as our rulers never said a lie and be proud of them since they have done every thing for the national interest and public.

You are so naive both by your face and by your writings ..but I still appreciate ..dair ayad durust ayad…the gang rape of the pakistan you mentioned is b/c of the rapist democracy ..we people don’t deserve this demo-crazy ..we need compliance of Islamic sharia, quran the constitution and that will ultimately resolve all issues from top to bottom ..either it is looting or cheating in the name of this demo-crazy or non-judicial killing in the name of terrorism..this rapist demo-crazy can’t provide justice and JUSTICE is the key to peace ..Meaning of Pakistan is ‘La illaha ill Allah’ – our forefathers acquired Pakistan in the name of Islam so having ‘Islami nizaam’ (sharia) is the sole and only solution otherwise its like in 1940s we prayed to Allah (swt) that O Allah give us a separate country where we will live according to your commandments and when He gave it to us then we reverted back to our promises to Allah(swt) and here you see the results of those false promises that we Pakistani muslims are being given one trial after another and still try to refuse to comply on the real meaning of Pakistan..ie. ‘there is no God but Allah’ and henceforth you see some people gods are just acquiring money, position & status by hook or crook (our honored president is the shining example ) – we Pakistani muslims are not pure in our intentions and deeds and Allah(swt) only like pure deeds. May Allah(swt) bless Pakistan and Pakistani muslims with His mercy and forgiveness – ameen.
