Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl is a Yash Raj’s production that circles around a young man called Ricky Bahl (Ranveer Singh). Ricky is a conman that cons young rich women through his suave looks and slick attitude. After winning the confidence of the women, Ricky cheats them by robbing large amounts of money from them and disappearing.
Three such victims Dimple Chaddha (Parineeti Chopra) , Raina Parulekar (Dipannita Sharma Atwal) & Saira Rashid (Aditi Sharma) unite to form the force that would con the conman himself. In order to take revenge and recover their looted money, the three ladies hire an efficient sales girl Ishika Desai (Anushka Sharma). Ishika presents herself as a rich man’s daughter who wants to open a chain of restaurants in India, and for this purpose she is searching for a suitable piece of land. Ishika is successful in gaining Ricky’s attention as she presents herself as a great catch. The clever direction of the three ladies coupled with Ishika’s charm, allows them to convince Ricky to partner with Ishika and lend her a sum of rupees Rs 45 lakh.
As the film progresses Ricky and Ishika fall in love… As tempting as it may be, it would be quite unfair if I reveal the entire storyline here.
I would call this movie an interesting but dramatic flick . Ranveer, Anushka and the other actors of the movie have performed well but we must say that at some parts of the movie have proved rather weak. The film starts impressively but the suspense and humour of the movie goes tumbling down as it nears its end.
One good thing about the movie however, is that sometimes the movie touches the heart of the viewer through its comedy and humour. The female actors of the movie could have been a little stronger and a little more attractive and the main lead of the movie Anushka Sharma appears in the film after the interval.
But perhaps we should forget these issues and admire the pace of the movie which proves to be perfect for the viewer as it is almost impossible to be bored of the film.
Music of the film is average and the dance performances are nothing different when compared to other Bollywood films.
In short the movie is a success with a unique plot and the direction is also admirable. With a few shortcomings and lapses the movie can be branded as a fresh and entertaining watch.
